This mission statement is carried out through two strategies administered by the department. These strategies, Prevention and Emergency Response, exist to meet the threats that challenge Lebanon's quality of life. As our City evolves, the department modifies, updates and alters the
programs that support these strategies to save lives, protect property and maintain the tax base.
The multiple programs that meet these two strategies are discussed on the linked pages. To provide these programs the department engages in support activities. These activities include administrative planning, purchasing, clerical, building and vehicle maintenance, training, research and development, etc.
